We are experimenting with specially composed/recorded music using ancient Pythogorean modes. Most people probably never associate Pythagoras and music. But you have probably heard of the dorian mode, the mixolydian mode, the hypodorian among others .Also known as Medieval Modes, these scale patterns are believed to be helpful in calming the mind, creating mental balance and balancing the emotions. Some of our clients have reported that the modes on our relaxing music CDs can help insomnia. Others have used it to help anxiety. Some just tell us they find it good for general relaxation. So, whether you are interested in music for relaxation, Music for concentration or study, Music for meditation or even Music for sex, then there is likely to be a mode to help. We are interested in how these Medieval Modes or modal music (as it is known) can be used to help create mental relaxation and emotional balance in the modern world.
