LAKSHYAPAR CLASSICAL MUSIC CONFERENCE

We are dedicated to the expansion of north Indian classical music. We select young boys and girls for training at our free school of classical music named Lakshyapar Paramparaa. With an object to building audience, we arrange four seasonal soirees and an annual classical music conference. Access to all programmes is free. Not only that, we offer free snacks for evening programmes and free dinner for the night-long session in the annual conference. We have an online radio station named Radio Lakshyapar which tagged to our web site lakshyapar.org; An android application for the 24/7 station is available at google play store with name "Classical Radio Lakshyapar". Every step is taken with the sole objective of making in-depth use of classical music in fighting against a global trend of dehumanization. We want to see a fresh generation of sensitive, responsive and refined people. We strongly believe that classical music has such great potential.

Prakriti Foundation was founded by Ranvir Shah in Chennai in 1998 to host events enquiring into our cultural heritage and inheritance. The vision behind Prakriti was to host events that would play a catalytic role in changing and enlarging the cultural scene in Chennai. Thus, Prakriti Foundation saw itself typically as the moving force behind events as diverse as music concerts, seminars and serious scholarly discourse, multi media events, experimental and protest cinema and theatre festivals. Over the last few years, Prakriti Foundation has worked to explore identity through history and heritage, art and cultural expression. Some of our annual festivals today include Festival of Sacred Music in Thiruvaiyaru, Short and Sweet Theatre Festival, The Park's New Festival, The Poetry Festival etc.
