Kalaimamani Cuddalore Subramaniam Official YouTube Channel. Sri Cuddalore M Subramaniam was born on 3rd May 1920 in Cuddalore, adjacent to the Sri Pataleeswarar Temple sannidhi as the 6th child of his pious parents, Sri. Mahalinga Dikshitar and Smt.Lakshmi Ammal. His first Guru was his mother, who was a disciple of Sri Poochi SrinivasaIyengar of Ramanadpuram. He had his further training in music under Sri Thirukoilur Chinnasami Iyer and while studying for his M.A at the Annamalai University, he came under the guidance of Sri Tiger Varadachariar. He had a very successful musical career spanning over 50 years & well known for his illustrious & distinctive style of singing rich in Bhava & Laya.He has composed in 72 Melakartha ragas, Apoorva Raga kritis, Tamil kritis Varnams,Sri Rajarajeshwari Pancharathinam.On this momentous occasion of his Centenary Year, we take pride in remembering him as an excellent Concert performer, traditional Sangeetha Vidwan & as a prolific Vageyakarar.
