Growing up in south-west Sydney, four-piece The Shang started their musical journey playing at the local bowling club bringing with them an infusion of dub, psych and old school, no-nonsense rock and roll. Since then, The Shang have seen themselves supporting Beddy Rays, Crocodylus, Pacific Avenue and a score of sold-out Sydney shows. In more recent times, The Shang locked away some time with rising producer, Jack Nigro, together working on their EP ‘Tales of the Wild South West’ with singles ‘Games ft. Rops1’ receiving triple j unearthed rotation and praise from Declan Byrne and Richard Kingsmill. The four-piece are set up to release a string of singles in 2021 working around and persisting through the pandemic.
