Since his 1987 professional debut in Tokyo, Ito has won top prizes in seven major international guitar competitions, including the Andres Segovia International Guitar Competition, the Tokyo International Guitar Competition, the Guitar Foundation of America International Guitar Competition, and the Seto Ohashi International Competition.

This channel is not about performing music or basic theory. It is not about jazz riffs or guitar riffs. It is about creating music and the tools one needs to do so for mastery. There is no one "style" that I am aiming at. I try to teach topics that are rarely if ever covered on YouTube or in theory books. If a lot of the terms or concepts I talk about are confusing, this is most likely the wrong channel! I am not trying to be rude, but this channel covers no basic topics or explains basic terms. I assume most watching will know this stuff. So be warned, the topics are going to be more for advanced musicians looking to take things to the next level.
