Richard plays guitar

Hi, I'm Richard. I usually play a classical guitar with nylon strings. I am left handed and play fingerstyle without nails. This is also known as finger picking. This gives a fairly soft and warm sound, I think a lot of feeling can be placed. I alternate existing songs and my own pieces. I read tablature or tabs (alternative music notation) but no music notation. I also play with a plectrum, but this is of course not fingerpicking! Usually I play from memory with my own improvisation and interpretation. I took guitar lessons for a number of years, but it is more important to experiment with music myself as much as possible. I also like to play over backing tracks. Sometimes I play with amplifier. My music can be understood as backgroundmusic in a quiet surrounding.
