How to play "not a lot, just forever" (Adrianne Lenker)

well this video is a "summary" of the guitar parts in the song. here's how i think this song is played - in general here is the picking pattern 1 —————x 2 ———x 3 ——x————x 4 —x ——x—-x 5 ———x 6 x for chords which do not have a 6th string note, play the 5th string instead of the 6th. use a thumb pick for strings 4 to 6 and your index and ring finger for strings 1 to 3. for the chorus it is a little complicated but use the melody on the 4th string to "lead" and fill the gaps with other strings, particularly 1 and 2. im not too sure of it myself but keep playing and itll come i guess. it's still super tricky xD the tuning is: 1 C# 2 A# 3 F# 4 C# 5 G# 6 C# as for the chord shapes i hope it is visible from the video.. if not, leave a comment and ill clarify. thanks for watching!! :) if you've got this far into the description box and you had fun learning the song, a little Tip would go a long way to support me! thank you for watching! https://ko-fi.com/rafaelleafar
