Indian Slide Guitar
Manish started his initial training in Indian slide guitar from Late Shri Vishnu Walivadekar. He is one of the senior disciples of the Sitar player, Ustad Shahid Parvez.
Manish is amongst the few leading Indian slide guitar players of India. He has performed in major music festivals in India, and also in countries like Spain, Sweden, Italy, Portugal, Netherlands, Denmark, Norway, France, Germany, Estonia, China, Japan, Australia, Singapore, Malaysia, UK, Belgium and Switzerland.
Manish has collaborated with Maestros like Saxophone legend George Brooks, Blues musician Michael Messer, French Music composer Hector Zazou and African Kora player Lamine Cissokho.
Manish has been awarded with the title ‘Surmani’, and is also honoured by the WORLD BOOK OF RECORDS, UK for his matchless contribution to the world of Indian slide guitar.
Manish is a qualified Sound engineer from FTII Pune, and worked in films like ‘Life of Pi’, ‘Eat Pray Love’ etc.
