Alaap Music Academy, Chennai is a premier institute established in 2005 by Pt. Shri Kuldeep Sagar for promoting Hindustani Classical Music. Classes are conducted in the traditional Guru Shishya Parampara focusing on the individual needs of the students. Pt. Kuldeep Sagar provides training from the basic to advanced lessons in Khayal, Tarana, Ghazal, Thumri, Bhajan and other semi-classical forms of North India.
Pt. Shri Kuldeep Sagar is a Hindustani Classical vocalist par excellence of the Gwalior Gharana, with a wide repertoire. He had trained under Late Sangeet Acharya Pt Nand Kishor Sharma, Bhopal

He is a Graded Artiste from All India Radio, Doordarshan and has completed his Master’s Degrees in Classical Music from the Indira Sangeet Mahavidyalaya in Khairagarh M.P, and Diplomas - Sangeet Praveen and Sangeet Prabhakar, He has also done his Diploma in Sugam Sangeet from the Prayag Sangeet Samiti, Allahabad.
