Hi, my name is Melvyn Hartle, (Mel), and I am a guitarist and tech who has always loved guitars. Here on my Stocksbridge Guitar Tech channel you will find some guitar lessons, a little music theory, maintenance and setup tips and the occasional gear review. I try to post a new video every Friday but I am not always able to and may frequently miss a week or two as I care for my disabled wife. I used to play piano as a child, but discovered the guitar at around 14yrs old and decided that was what I wanted to play. Unfortunately, at around age 30 I was diagnosed with a congenital hearing loss and quit playing entirely for some 12 or so years. I decided to try playing again some years ago, purely for my own enjoyment, but then I decided to set up this channel to try to help, and inspire other people to take up the guitar.
