Manish Pingle Indian Slide Guitar Manish started his initial training in Indian slide guitar from Late Shri Vishnu Walivadekar. He is one of the senior disciples of the Sitar player, Ustad Shahid Parvez. Manish is amongst the few leading Indian slide guitar players of India. He has performed in major music festivals in India, and also in countries like Spain, Sweden, Italy, Portugal, Netherlands, Denmark, Norway, France, Germany, Estonia, China, Japan, Australia, Singapore, Malaysia, UK, Belgium and Switzerland. Manish has collaborated with Maestros like Saxophone legend George Brooks, Blues musician Michael Messer, French Music composer Hector Zazou and African Kora player Lamine Cissokho. Manish has been awarded with the title ‘Surmani’, and is also honoured by the WORLD BOOK OF RECORDS, UK for his matchless contribution to the world of Indian slide guitar. Manish is a qualified Sound engineer from FTII Pune, and worked in films like ‘Life of Pi’, ‘Eat Pray Love’ etc.

Shanmukhapriya Academy of Music and Vedās (SĀMA) was established in the month of Oct, 1996 in a very small scale and as of now, we have completed 25 long years of musical training for dedicated and passionate students of Carnatic Music. The institution imparts professional training in Carnatic Vocal and Veena with the aim of providing a platform for musically inclined minds to nurture their talents. Over a period of 25 years, the student fraternity growing along with SĀMA is multiplying. SĀMA has spread its wings and the Academy has been training many students in India, USA, UK, Europe and Middle East in Core Carnatic Classical Vocal Music and Instrumental Veena. Several Workshops have been organised by the Academy to impart knowledge in Core Carnatic Music. The academy follows a very structured syllabus along with basic fundamental theory concepts. The academy also caters to those students who need an in depth theoretical knowledge along with practical lessons.
